ATA calls out misleading statements by the Therapetuic Goods Administration

Satyajeet 'Satya' Marar, Policy Director at the ATA, was recently featured in The Daily Telegraph Online. Satya notes repeated instances of misleading statements and positions which fly in the face of international experience, in relation to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and why it's important for policy-makers to consider a range of independent evidence, rather than taking the advice of public sector bureaucrats at face value.

The TGA's position on nicotine and codeine both provide examples of this issue.
