The Australian Taxpayers' Alliance handed in a submission to the Therapeutic Goods Administration Medicines Scheduling Secretariat arguing that electronic nicotine delivery systems (such as e-cigarettes and vaping devices) be legalised in Australia in order to save lives and reduce the harms associated with smoking.

The submission covered the overwhelming benefits of e-cigarettes and vaping devices. It argued towards removing restrictions on the sale of melatonin as well as paracetamol/caffeine analgesics.
