The Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance is proud to present a panel discussion and q&a on the lessons from the Victorian election with five of Victoria’s most prominent political voices: John Roskam from the Institute of Public Affairs, Christian Kerr from The Australian, former Victorian Senator Helen Kroger, Vice-President of the Victorian Young Liberals Jess Wilson, and Professor Sinclair Davidson from RMIT.
There will be significant opportunities for attendees to share their views with the panel, and for an interactive discussion to take place.

Christian Kerr is one of Australia’s most respected political journalists, and is a senior reporter for The Australian. He is also a former State and Federal Government’s Staffer, a contributing editor to the Australian edition of The Spectator, and a regular guest on the ABC and Sky News.
Helen Kroger represented Victoria in the federal Senate from 2008 to 2014, serving as Chief Government Whip in the Senate from 2013-14. She was the State President of the Victorian Division of the Liberal Party of Australia from 2003 to 2006 and was the Federal Vice President for five years.
Professor Sinclair Davidson is Professor in the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT, a Senior Fellow of the Institute of Public Affairs, and an Academic Fellow of the Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance. He has written extensively on taxation policy in Australia and is a regular contributor to public debate. His opinion pieces have been published in The Age, The Australian, Australian Financial Review, Sydney Morning Herald, and Wall Street Journal Asia. He also blogs frequently at Catallaxyfiles.com
John Roskam has been the Executive Director ofthe Institute of Public Affairs since 2004. Before joining the IPA he taught political theory at the University of Melbourne. He was previously the Executive Director of The Menzies Research Centre in Canberra, has been a senior adviser and chief of staff to federal and state education minister, and was the manager of government and corporate affairs for a global mining company.
Jess Wilson is the Vice-President of the Young Liberal Movement of Australia (Victorian Division) and the former President of Monash University Liberal Club.
