Tim Andrews - founder & President
Tim Andrews is the Founder and President of the Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance. He holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Bachelor of Laws, and a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Sydney. He is a Director of the Australian Libertarian Society and Co-Convenor of the Friedman Conference, the largest libertarian conference in the Asia-Pacific Region, a member of the UK Taxpayers Alliance Advisory Council, and a member of the The Commonwealth Freedom of Movement Organisation Advisor Board.
Brian Marlow - ATA board member
Brian Marlow is a long-time member of the ATA board, and the Director of Legalise Vaping Australia , where he heads up our campaign to legalise life-saving vaping technology in Australia. Brian has worked in grassroots campaigning since 2015 at both the state and federal level. Brian has been interviewed by major national news sources in Australia including the SBS and ABC, as well as countless international newspapers, radio and television stations.
Dr John Humphreys - ATA board member & chief economist
John Humphreys has been involved in the ATA from its inception, and came on as the Chief Economist in 2021. He is a former analyst with the Australian Treasury, lecturer at the University of Queensland, and economic consultant who has worked on projects for the World Bank, ASEAN, and industry groups. He was the founder and national president of the Liberal Democrats (now Libertarian Party), the Friedman Conferences, and a research centre & education charity in Cambodia. Dr Humphreys has a PhD in economics from University of Queensland.
